The starting point for Axel Lieber’s work is a simple paper bag that is monumentally enlarged and thus almost becomes architecture. The work speaks to the location and the former cinema in the middle of Gubbängstorget. With its openings at different levels, scenes are created in the middle of the work where things can take place. The bag is always half full, from all sides, and it plays playfully with scale and simple opposites: inside and outside, full and empty, hidden and open, above and below.
